Emerald Archer, PhD, Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for the Advancement of Women at Mount Saint Mary’s University, will address the landscape of gender equity in the workplace. Additionally, a panel of Orange County leaders – champions of female ambition – will discuss ways they lead and do business to embrace gender equity.
KEYNOTE
Emerald Archer, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for the Advancement of Women at Mount Saint Mary’s University. She also serves as Executive Director of the Women’s College Coalition. She has dedicated her career to studying questions related to gender equity and the representation of women in non-traditional domains such as the United States military. Dr. Archer has published numerous peer-review journal articles, chapters in research anthologies, and is the author of Women, Warfare and Representation: American Servicewomen in the Twentieth Century (Bloomsbury, 2017). She serves on the board of directors for the Foundation for Women Warriors and holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara (2009).
