Dale Carnegie of Orange County | Improving Leadership Effectiveness

2019 Girl Scouts of Orange County Recognition Event

On Sunday, June 2, 2019, a record 780+ Girl Scout volunteers, Girl Scouts, and their families attended Girl Scouts of Orange County’s 2019 Recognition Event at the Disneyland Resort to celebrate the incredible girls, women, and men across Orange County who make Girl Scouts shine. Over 120 adult volunteers and 27 Girl Scouts were awarded for using their inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ to take action, inspire others, and make our world a better place! Additionally, 106 Orange County Girl Scouts were honored for their amazing achievements in earning the Girl Scout Gold Award – the highest achievement in Girl Scouting, which recognizes girls who demonstrate extraordinary leadership through remarkable Take Action projects that have changed their communities and our world for the better! To date, more than 2,700 OC Girl Scouts have earned the Girl Scout Gold Award and more than 100 girls in Orange County “Go Gold” every year.

Members of Girl Scouts of Orange County’s staff and board of directors presented these amazing honorees with their awards, including our own CEO, Geri Cerkovnik.
