Dale Carnegie at the Fullerton Rotary ClubSteve Thomas was invited to speak to the Fullerton Rotary Club members at their regular business breakfast. Steve facilitated a Dale Carnegie style workshop on Expanding Your Influence by Cultivating Trust-Based Relationships.

In the sales world today, trust-based relationships grant better access to decision-makers. For instance, trusted relationships lead to positive outcomes; 77% of people will provide referrals, only 17% will buy from your competition, and most importantly 81% of customers will buy from you again.

To sum up, if you have good relationships based on trust, you will be able to inspire successful pitches and good-faith negotiations. Much like a successful marriage, business partnerships based on trust secure business deals and lead to future agreements. It’s a salesperson’s dream!

About the Event

All in all, it was a very successful event. The group discussed the importance of expanding their professional network and influence with others. Then, Steve provided the group with a tool (Dale Carnegie’s Conversation Stack) to help build rapport within new and existing relationships.
