Steve Thomas, Executive Consultant and Regional VP of Dale Carnegie of Orange County, facilitated a workshop on Networking to Build Your Personal Brand at the One-Stop Center.
The objective of the program was to help the One-Stop workforce leverage their professional connections and develop a flexible and authentic Personal Brand Statement to make a strong first impression. Throughout the workshop, participants practiced basic networking protocol and communication skills that will continue to serve them as they develop lasting business relationships.

About the One-Stop Center
In Partnership with the Orange County Board of Supervisors, the OCDB oversees Orange County’s workforce development activities. Additionally, the OCDB establishes programs in response to the workforce needs of Orange County.
The Orange County One-Stop Center(s) provide comprehensive employment and training services. For instance, a Resource Center with access to computers, fax machines, copiers, and telephones. Other services include a resume distribution program, veteran transition services, a career resource library, labor market information, networking opportunities, job search workshops, on-site interviews with local employers, transferable skills information, job leads, and training programs.
